With Super Mario 64 making its way back to the DS upon release, it was only matter of time before the lead officials of Nintendo looked towards bringing back Mario in classic side-scrolling action. Inspired by the look and feel of Super Mario Bros 3, Mario is back more challenging and entertaining then ever, tackling world through world in an attempt to rescue the princess, captured by Bowser & Bowser Jr.
Throwing together classic sound remastered and classic gameplay infused with new intelligent styles are a suprising result - the game feels fresh and a completely new concept of game, even though it is building on the solid foundation that has defined the Mario game for the past few decades. Unlike SM3 we do have the alternative choice to save the game after passing through at least half a world, a perfect choice, as the new game will be a welcome challenge and entertainer newcomers and Mario fans will enjoy.
The Mushroom Kingdom needs your help! I wholeheartily reccommend your full attention to get this game, a cherry on top, you say? No problem - offering a fantastic multiplayer mode, with both minigames and NSMB gameplay, you'll have an amazing time. Do-doo do-do-do doo do!
This is one Mario game that you need to try. The game is flawless and polished bringing this remake to the top of the DS lineup. The only flaw in the game is virtually no story: The whole 'Princess gets captured, you rescue her' charade. However, this game doesn't need a story to be great. The controls are spot on, and the gameplay is amazing platforming goodness you've come to know and love in classic Mario Fashion.

The game is very reminiscent to Super Mario World in many ways, as well as the other games in the Super Mario Bros. series. It has 3D graphics, and has some of the moves (such as the wall jump) found in Super Mario 64. It is a wonderful combination of all the best features of the Super Mario games in one!

New Super Mario Bros is the game everyone seems to be playing right now. There are 7 'worlds' in which Mario travels to. The levels are quite difficult and get harder as you progress through the game. It is a great game for all ages! Hope you enjoy playing it!!!

I have been addicted to this game when I first picked it up and it's been hard to put down. You can also play battle modes or even minigames with others friends with a DS. If you have a DS, this is a definite get. This marks as one of the best DS game along with Pokemon and Zelda.

I own this game for my DS, and I still play it quite frequently. Gameplay is similar to the original Super Mario Bros. so if you've played the NES game, you should have no problem getting used to the gameplay. Even if you aren't familiar with the NES game, it won't take long to figure out controls and enjoy the gameplay.
